Growing plants and food takes a lot time, human effort and resources; every year 186 million tons of chemical fertilizers are used in agriculture. Therefore, about 50% of the total world’s food production is due to fertilizers. This project is aimed to bridge the gap between food management and urban growing locally avoiding unnecessary effort and Co2 emissions in transportation.
Morphosis is a modular appliance that processes the food leftovers using anaerobic digestion methodology which breaks down non animal biological material in absence of oxygen delivering a bio product called digestate that once diluted can be delivered to plants with the optimum amount of nutrients that they need in order to grow stronger and healthier plants in one place.
